Personal Digital Story Reflection

Week 1 assignment assisted me with honing skills relevant to the implementation of technology in education.  Some standards specifically were, c.1 a-b and c.2 a-b.   For example, the digital story required me to identify, create and use various formats such as video and audio files to create my personal experiences to tell a story.  In addition to the creation of a video, I was required to work collaboratively with others to provide and receive feedback on the story script.  This feedback encouraged us to alter our scripts with suggestions mentioned, if needed.   

In addition, I created a learning network through the use of a blog. This was my first time creating a blog and it was a bit challenging at first.  However, I worked through it and here it is.  I can say this is a very helpful tool to utilize when communicating and networking both locally and globally.  Currently, a weekly blog is sent out by my campus principal.  The blog is very helpful with keeping staff informed of current and upcoming information or events.  As a future principal, I plan to implement this practice as well.  Now that I have some experience in it, I feel a bit more comfortable with blogging.
